Welcome to Recovery Works presentation of The Canadian Certified Peer Support Worker Training Course.

This course has been pre-approved for forty hours by the Canadian Addiction Counselling Certification Federation (CACCF) as core learning material. This course meets the education standard when applying to become a certified peer.

The course covers five specific areas:

• Defining a Peer
• Substance Use Assessments
• Stages of Change
• Ethical Responsibility
• Concurrent Disorders 

Each of these five areas is expanded on in-depth.  Additionally, these topics are discussed pertaining to the role of a peer recovery specialist.

Following the course, there is a short quiz to test your knowledge of the material.
